Tips on packing your house ready for a Warrens removal

  1. Start early: Don’t wait until the last minute to start packing. Begin at least a few weeks in advance so you have plenty of time to pack everything carefully.
  2. Declutter: Moving can be a great opportunity to get rid of things you no longer need or use. Before you start packing, go through each room and decide what you can donate, sell, or throw away.
  3. Label boxes: Clearly label each box with the contents and the room it belongs in. We do supply our very own branded tape where you can circle which room the box needs to be placed. This will make it easier for you and us to know where to put everything in your new home.
  4. Use the right supplies: with every Warren’s removal we supply everything you need to help you pack up. Including extra strong boxes, premium tape, bubblewrap and also packing paper for all those fragile items. We always encourage you to use our supplies rather than the free ones you may have from a neighbour! Our boxes are super strong and prevent anything getting damaged.
  5. Pack by room: Focus on one room at a time, packing everything in that room before moving on to the next. This will help you stay organised and ensure that everything from each room ends up together in the same box.
  6. Pack fragile items carefully: Use bubblewrap and packing paper to protect fragile items like glassware, and china. Pack them in a separate box and label it as fragile.
  7. Try not to overpack boxes: Make sure each box isn’t too heavy and can be easily carried by you and our team. We don’t have any particular weight limits however if you deem a box too heavy, maybe put soft items such a pillows or duvets in to fill and utilise the space.
  8. Pack a box of essentials: Pack a box of items you’ll need right away in your new home, like toilet paper, soap, towels and any further toiletries. Label this box and inform our team that this is needed right away when we move you in.
  9. Take pictures: Take pictures of the back of your electronics so that you can easily connect them in your new home, we will always try to help you plug everything in, however the original pictures always help.
  10. Keep important documents and items with you: like passports, Wallets, purses and medication.
